Simple envelope card with tutorial

hello back with an other quick but oh so sweet idea to use with your Mini Magnolia stamps. sorry for the dark pictures… I really need to start using my day light lamps again.

Doesn’t this look nice? no cutting required just folding. lets go ahead and make one, all you need is pretty double sided paper.

envelope card_1

Supplies:
Magnolia Doo Hickey border die, Magnolia Sentiment: Loving Wishes
Magnolia ink double sided design paper
Ribbon,
Martha Stewart clay and mold for frame and butterfly
Copic markers
Corner rounder
Gesso for a vintage wash
chipboard embellishments, pearl brad

Simple envelope card
Claudia Rosa
Supplies:

1 sheet double sided Designer paper (DSP)
I used Magnolia ink, Adhesive if desired
to finish card:
stamps, sentiments, ribbon, dies and flowers
Directions:
Step 1: Cut DSP into a square. Sample has been cut to 10 inches x10 inches
Step 2: fold your DSP in half

Step 3: fold in half again. You will have a square.
clip_image004

Step 4:
open your paper. It should now look like this:
clip_image006

Step 5: fold all four tips or corners of your DSP to the center point of your scored lines (center of your DSP) If your DSP is heavy weight and it’s hard to fold, or if you can’t see the scored lines well due to the pattern of your DSP you could use a ruler to help you guide. This is how your DSP should look after you folded all 4 tips to the center point.

Step 6: flip your paper face down

Step 7: and fold your paper in half
clip_image012

Step 8: open flap and fold it to the other side
clip_image014

Step 9: this is how your card will look like after the flap is folded “back”. You can now glue both DSP together or embellish the seam with lace or some of your die cut borders.

Step 10:
cut a piece of white paper according to the size you created your envelope to add your message. If you started out with a square 10x10 inches of DSP you might want to cut your slider to 6 ¾ and 3 ¼

Here is how my finished card looks like with the slider pulled out:

Birthday book

Hi there,

as summer comes slowly to an end I look forward for my kids to go back to school. I do like to spent time with them but honestly sometimes a yucky fall day where I not have to feel guilty not to have to go outside to pull weeds or be soccer mom, I do miss it Smile I know soon enough we all complain how long the winters are in Michigan. You just can’t make it right hahaha

Bcaldendar_3

Today I have a little birthday book to show. This is my 3 one. Who would have thought! They are time consuming but the result is well worth it. The little images from the Zodiac Collection are just the perfect fit for this kind of stuff. Just saying Christmas is around the corner… This really does make a nice gift and if you did every month from now on 2 pages its not getting too overwhelming creating and finishing the inside pages.

Bcaldendar_2

If you do like the sentiments – they are made with the computer by my sweet and talented friend Tammi from Tropical Dreams. I think she does share those, so just give it a try and leave her a comment on her blog.

Bcaldendar_4

Supplies used:

Small 3-ring book binder in white found at Office Depot or Staples
Paper: Magnolia Ink Bubble, Magnolia Ink quilt in blue and green
Magnolia: Pisces Tilda, Magnolia Capricorn – both from the recent Zodiac Collection, Magnolia koi pond
Other: Butterfly die, Fern die, Buttons, Martha Stewart Butterfly and frame mold, Martha Stewart paper clay, hardware charms for the front and as a little bookmark – hanging down at the side of the binder at the moment. Cute little extra detail Smile

Thank you ladies have a blessed day

Big Big Hugs

Hei there..

back from our family VACAY… got crazy here before we left.. one day we have had a Tornado passing trough really close and several power lines came down so our area had no power for almost 4 days.

HUgs_2

Here is a little card I have made a few weeks ago. Geez, I made things for the Christmas DooHickey magazine and I feel I am totally out of the loop after our trip.

HUgs_1

These are the supplies I used:
Tilda with Leo
Doo Hickey dies: Cloud, swirly butterfly, Tildas tag, fern, heart swirl, So Lovely, Pin Wheel,
shape of card: go Kreate, Tim Holtz Butterfly edge
Papers: Maja
I didn’t use Frantage on the edges – I tried to fake the look with Gold, Platinum, white and Start Dust Stickles
The word hugs is spelled out with a mini Alphabet set from Joann ($1 dollar bin)

HUgs_3

PS: sorry for the “wonky” picture I played with some free features over on Picmonkey… I think those little dots are bit weird on Tildas face lol.

Ballerina Dance Squad

Hi there happy Sunday to all of you.

I would like to share with you today the card I made for my mothers 70 birthday. It’s the first time I made a pop up card. wow! all those years of crafting and never came around it. I picked for the card 3 coordinating Tildas. The girls came out in different collections. You can see some slight changes in how Pauline drew the shape of the faces. I really enjoy seeing how the images evolve and change. Lately the eyes became much bigger, so we can add those tiny white dots. cute! However I really do like her VERY old images a lot too.

Mama70_1

To decorate the front I used:
Tilda Ballerina with ballet shoes
Dies: Doo Hickey Castle, Spellbinder oval, Doo Hickey leaf, Doo Hickey Tag, Doo Hickey heart swirl, Go Kreate for shape
Embellishments: flowers, tiny pocket, Stickles, heart doily, gauze, lace
Coloring: Copic Markers

Mama70_3

for my pop-up images I picked:
Tilda Ballerina with ballet shoes, (baby Tingla ballerina) Prima Ballerina
Sentiment: Stempelglede
all Design papers are by Maja
Dies: Doo Hickey dream tag, Doo Hickey butterfly (cut twice for effect)
Other: gem ribbon, lace flower element gifted from Angie, glitter number stickers from stash, liquid pearl

Birthday Baggie

Hi there…

thank you for your visit. Sorry for my spare postings on my blogs.
If you are a subscriber of Sir Stampalot’s newsletters, which I highly recommend, you might know already that Magnolia ceases  Magnolia Ink as we know it. There will be issues published for special occasions like for Christmas, but for now the we highly anticipate some new adventures Magnolia is working on behind the regular stamp and die releases. I don’t want to spell the beans just yet, but the Design Team is working hard to make this something very worth for you to consider to purchase and be inspired by it.
I am TRYING to work on my given assignments which will be considered around Christmas, but the work as the be finished in just 3 weeks! OMG!!! I do have like 9 water colored images sitting on my craft desk but I am so blocked, I can’t even think of anything to do with them, the deadline isn't helping me either. I am sure some of you know the feeling.

Anyhow…

Tilda In The Wild

Hello Magnolia friends.
Thank you for swinging by. Today I would like to show you a card I made with one of the Animal of the Year Collection stamps called Tilda with Fizzy the snake. I hope you like it.
As you can see on the photos, I pulled my photo tent out again. The weather has not been the best the last weeks here in Michigan, in fact I couldn’t take the kids to the out door pool at all. Its so cloudy that the pictures just wouldn’t look right. For those of you who are interested what supplies (tent and how many lamps) I have a couple of pictures for you at the end of this posting.

Tilda_Snake_1
