In Good Times Or Bad

Hello,

well.. almost there making a card with each and every stamp i have ordered from the new beautiful Apple Cherry Collection stamp. OMG.. they are so sweet. I know … i probably also should make Christmas cards.. i will be running low at the end of the year – as usually but it just seams i skip an entire season lol

When i finally decided to get the last 6x6 paper pack of the My Minds Eye paper “home” i would have never imagined how many cards i would end up using it. It really did not speak to me at first at all and now… how wonderful is it.. even with those colors i first thought i can use only on masculine cards.

Claudia_Rosa_Buckle

Oh… before if forget.. the card style i made this time is called “Big Buckle” card there is a basic tutorial on Splitcoast.. but you do not need that.. i have cut from the front page probably about 1 1/4 inch off.. this worked best with the size of my focal point image and just added my belt. You are going to need a Word Window Punch from Stampin up. If you ever want to have some Stampin up supplies – you can always email me. I host every month a book party and since iam not a Demonstrator, iam able to post the stuff in any country.

Show your colors

Hello, thank you for swinging by.
My card today features Tilda with flag from the new Apple Cherry collection. I could not resist to alter the flag with a pen and some extra color into “MY” colors. :-) Yes, i live in the US but i am through and through German from the area Stuttgart/Munich.

I had the papers for this card already picked when the idea with the flag came to mind.. so getting the black/red and yellow right for my pattern paper wasn’t really easy. Especially with the red i had problems.. so there is a lot of mixing with different colors of Copic markers going on. This new paper i have, is really nice and forgiving if you go over and over and add.. which was definitely a plus on this card.

Claudia_Rosa_See you later_1

hahahaha… yes as much as iam proud to be German.. i do not have a single German sentiment. I was considering to print one with the Computer but my mind was stuck with that circular embellishment i wanted on that spot. Too sad that the German Oktoberfest is already over. This would make a nice card for someone who loves to go there….

and because i have made myself rare over the weekend :-) Lucas helping to prep the yard with party decorations for his big birthday party on Saturday. My hubby build those two benches (light brown) for the kids last week – :-) I must say iam pretty proud of my handy husband

Apple & Cherries ~ Hugs and Kisses

Ooooooone more :-) just ooone more card using a image from my new stamps :-) okay.. promise tomorrow i will have something different. It is quite obvious this one of Magnolia’s new stamp releases “Tilda with apples” so i wanted to talk about the layout on this card a bit more.
 Claudiai_Rosa_Hugs and Kisses
As i stamped the image onto paper, i noticed that Tilda is a bit smaller than some other Magnolia Tilda images. Usually i would have scaled my card down to probably  5.5 x 5.5 size, but that would have meant that there would not been many apples visible from the Design Paper i wanted to use on this card.
I still made a 6x6 card, but instead layered my image with 2 additional mats (one from kraft cardstock and one from chocolate chip) to give the illusion the image is bigger and takes more space on the card front. I also filled the space with a bow using one of my wonderful delicious silk ribbons. OMG… this ribbon binds wonderfully and is soooo soft.

life is a bowl of cherries

Hello, today i have an other card using the new Apple and Cherries Collection. The entire layout of this card came together by the beautiful Webster pages. I loved on this sheet how they printed the text in a square, from there i just had to figure out how i could add some more layers and matching patterns.
Below is a good shot of the text – the leave is cut out with one of Magnolia’s DooHickey Dies, i purchase mine over at Sir Stampalot. I sponged it with Vintage Photo and added some gems to it – just to add some sparkle cause i did not use Stickles a lot on this card.

Claudia_Rosa_Life is a bowl of cherries_1
The scallops are made with Spellbinder’s newer sets of big square scallops, the mats have all been hand cut by “moi” :-) Was a bit of work – of course when you want to cut really neat you have to be so careful.

Claudia_Rosa_Life is a bowl of cherries Alright.. and i had some time for a extra photo of this super cute charm i got the other day from Katharina (Whiff Of Joy). I dressed it up a bit with red gems to tie the colors of the cherries in and on the oval pendant at the bottom i glued a Peridot green brad (American Crafts). This way i have all my colors tied in with the flowers and embellishments. Oh… Jacuqe gave me the other day a tip, to tie bows 2x a loop so they would stay puffier longer… tried it with this one.. and i must say, it really does look good.

When Friends are together, Hearts speak without words.

Hello, thank you for swinging by today. I hope you have had a good start in the new week.

Well.. i was busy the weekend to prep for Lucas 7 birthday party. Tomorrow i will take have 2 of his best friends to bowling or mini golf and on Saturday is his party, here at our house. Between shopping at the party store and grocery store i colored a bunch of my new Magnolia  images in. Sometimes i rather feel like coloring and not making a full card. For now i have 6 1/2 :-) colored images sitting here on my craft table :-). This card with the new Twin Tilda has been just finished.
I hope you like it.

The sentiment on my card for today is by Stampin up. I took the rubber of a wheel of and actually was able to make 9 sentiment stamps for 8.50 :-) not bad and doesn’t that sentiment fit perfectly to the cute Magnolia image?
I have started to mount some of my Magnolia Sentiments onto wood blocks. I kind of got frustrated – i was not able to read the words with the script fonts and it was just getting difficult to remember what i have had already. This way they are stored nicely in my clear clam shell box and i can see right away all my sentiments.

Sweet Baby

Hello thank you for your visit.

This morning was the first time since school started that i had like 3 hours just for myself :-) whoohooo..
I wanted to use some of this time to make a quick card to post on my blog.

So this cute new “standing Baby” was perfect. I wanted to make a “no-frill” card who can be easily mass produced for Baby invites or Baby “Thank you” notes. By keeping all the flowers away – the costs are low and mailing costs should be a lot less.
This card is a 5.5 x5.5 sized card. I felt it was suitable for the smaller baby stamp AND also … the card fits in a smaller envelope.

Apples and Cherry Collection ~ Boo To You!

An other finished card with the new stamps. Must say…this is one of my favorite stamps in this Collection. OMG.. love how versatile it is.

I just thought it would be so cute and funny combined with the Bat Background from last year. Edwin totally scared holding on to a little tough girl :-)

My card uses  Magnolia papers and Basic Grey papers on top of each other. The image is colored with Copic Sketch and watercolors.

I must say my background did not stamp the image 100% so i had to trace the bats mostly by hand. A good marker to have for that kind of job are Multiliners
by Copic. After the image was colored in i just used sparingly Stickles on the bats and the Gardenia.

Apples and Cherry Collection ~ Thank Heaven For Little Babies

Horray… finally i can show you a card made with the new Magnolia stamps. My very talented DT friend Lillemor has also already some fabulous cards posted with those stamps. Please take a minute to go and check them out!

My card uses all Magnolia papers layered on top of each other. The sentiment is printed onto paper and i cut the shape with a Nestabilitie out. The Tilda Sleeping baby is stamped twice once adhered with pop up dots on top of the first one. lots of Stickles is on the ground and on the wings.

Back To School

OMG… summer is over… We are having a long weekend and Lucas is starting second grade this Tuesday :-) all pencils are sharpened (last year i had blisters on my fingers – this year i gave them to my husband so he sharpened them at work with the machine) and Mom has ALMOST everything ready. How could i forget the 2 boxes of tissue paper boxes lol.

I came across some of last years lovely My Minds Eye paper. Would it not be so nice if this company made 6x6 papers? geee.. it is sooo hard to see the patterns.

Claudia_Rosa_Think_Pink

Okay, the card base is a pink textured paper, than matting in Soft Sky than i have a lined My Minds eye paper, which i gave extra texture with a Stampin up punch on the side, so the paper would look like it has been taken out of a note book. The “numbers and letters” is a shaped paper from My Minds same line of papers.

Stamps: Tilda writing diary combined with school books from a line 2 years ago

Off to buy that tissue paper lol
