Fathersday Pocket card

Many of you know how much i love to give cards with pictures as presents. This card was made for my husband using a card style i made already last year. This time i just blew the dimensions up so this card is about 5.5 inches.

If you like to look i have posted this week an other - same style card on my second blog.

This is the card i made 2007 for my mother. The template for the smaller version was posted in my SCS Gallerie: ClaudiafromGermany

Magnolia's Summer Sea Collection

Oh my gosh.. go check all the adorable stamps out here:
Megahobby Magnolia Summer Sea Collection

Guest Designer at Ismaki

How exciting :-) I was invited by my friend Bea to provide a sketch for the Ismaki blog. :-) wow.... i love the Ismaki blog so i was very happy about this opportunity. Thank you so much Bea for your sweet words ... you made me blush hahahaha

The card i made using the sketch also gives you the possibility to add your own personal touch because you can add a photo underneath the tag-flap on the front.
The sweing on the card is hard to see but sewed twice in to mimic the swirls on the DP. Stickles was added to the tag, the dots on the DP and Tildas wings.

I hope i can inspire you with the sketch and can't wait to see your creations! Happy stamping!

In everything give thanks

Is it already Friday again? My goodness the days are flying. Here is my card for the Friday Sketcher blog. Carole came up with a fabulous sketch for this week. I must say - it was a challenge for me. I created my circle with 3 big white Bazzill flowers and added in the center a Prima Hydranga. Tilda is sitting on a sheer white organdy ribbon. I kept the card on purpose in the lilac and white tones. I got this faboulous paper from Magnolia. It is pink on the other side with green leaves and lilac flowers. This side shows some small light heart shaped freckles. LOVE IT. Remember the Tilda that is throwing heats in the air, from the Valentines line?? I frist wanted to use this paper with her.

Sentiment: Stampin up (retiered SAB set)
Embellishments: Prima Flowers, Bazzil Flowers, Making Memories: brads, sweing, white organdy ribbon

Welcome

I really love this new "Crate paper" :-) it gives you so many possibilites with the colors you can use when you color your images. I do not know HOW many papers i have here i bought cause i liked it, but than once i want to make a card i think.. hmmm what colors should i now use to color in the images?? The texture of this paper is kind of "shabby" :-) Do not know how to describe it better... it's not sooth as the other papers.

Spring in Paris "Sketch #3"

Can you show me your cards made with Magnolia's Eiffel tower??? This is my second card using this cool stamp. If you have a card made with an other Paris or french inspired stamp its fine too - post the link of your creation here on this post. So we can all take a look at your card. If you like you can also make a card using the sketch. If you go with the sketch you can use of course ANY kind of your stamps - just stick with the placement of the 2 motifs (thats my challenge for you). You can add your sentiment were you want. Also, link your card here on my blog.

I used the "Merci" stamp from Stampin up "Carte Postale" to stamp on my epoxy tag i picked up at the tiny craft section in my grocery store. Don't know if you can see it but the tag has some tiny daisies like the DP. Was pretty happy about the match. The two fabulous pink ribbons on this card is from Rasperry Ribbons - the store has its online doors open now for you. I asked Caroline, for how long the pink ribbon kits will be available -cause i really, really love mine and i am actually thinking to purchase one more. She told me that the pink ones will be only available as long there is supply, after that there will be an other color for sale. Rasberry ribbons will also ship to the US.

Sentiment: Stampin up "Carte Postale"
Embellishments: Ribbons: "Rasberry Ribbons"
Epoxy Tag, Bashful Blue brads Stampin up, Stickles
Paper/CS: Imaginice (all scraps from the stash), Bashful blue, Whisper White
Coloring: Copics, white gel pen, Prisma Color Pencils on the tower
Add. info: distressing and sweing

Here is the sketch for you to try:

Happy Mothersday

Happy Mothersday to all of you :-)

today i will show you a card that has also been made back in November 2007 (i think you can tell cause my pics now look different) This card was published - and i am allowed to show it now. Iam pretty sure, by now you have seen these sewed flowers probably already on SCS. But back in November it was HOT :-) I used "Flowers for a friend" puched holes with my Crop-a-dile and used a needle to thread the ribbon throught he flower centers and back into the pedals.

I attach all 3 picutes so you can see how this card "works". Once you open the ribbon you can slide a little insert card out. The ribbon will "run" behind the insert with and you can slide in and out. Perfect if you want to adhere a picture of children and with on the other side a note.

Only one more card left to show from my "old style" cards :-)
take care.

Love

Today I publish my post for Saturday earlier than usually.. simply because i have to leave today and I am not sure when I can be online tomorrow.

I really must say I like how this card turned out :-) hihihi.. i love this new Desinger Paper i picked up last week. It has like clear embossing on it. Looks nice. I cut the paper in 4 rectangles and sewed it to the card. Each panel is sewed 2 x - i think that was the trickiest part of it. Bumble Bee is cut out and adhered with a spacer i got from Magnolia. I really must say the spacers i got from Magnolia are THE BEST! I can not find these here in my store. They have a special hight which is perfect for raising even small images. LOVE this product.

Birdhouses

Todays card was inspired by one of the beautiful stamps i got from Helene the owner of Alota Rubberstamps. I love this birdhouse stamp, simply because it is so versatile. You can make a card for a male or female. The layers of the DP are sewn and distressed. This card was first made only with the DP and the ribbon and it looked really masculine. Than i got my mail from the mailbox in and what do i see???? A big envelope from Tina B. over from Yummy Scrummy Create Blog. Oh my gosh.. she sent me 2 super cute stamps, these pretty Hydrangea Primas in lots of colors and many more things :-) Thank you so much Tina. Can you see how see me jumping up and down? hahahaha... the flowers she sent me were the PERFECT match to my card.
I used Beate's weekend sketch to create this card.

I also do not want to miss to show you the pretty card Tina sent me:
Some other other news... i can not believe it ... Korin the owner of Sweet'n Sassy stamps has contacted us and offered to sponsor the Friday Sketchers blog this week with a fabulous prize. So, make sure to swing by tomorrow to see whats up for grasp.

Ismaki 18 "Hi There"

I made this card for my good friend Kristine. She sent me a couple of weeks ago so many things.. ohh. i cant wait to show you a stamp set she got for me. This set has been especially designed to use with our Magnoila's :-) the size is perfect and the frames are wonderful. it is from a company in Norway. LOOOVE it. Kristine totally surprised me with this gift. - Thank you so much!
I wanted to make something more "special" for her cause if you look at Kristines cards on her blog you know what i mean :-). You can see how much work she puts in each of her cards (really take a peek what she posted today!!). So no way i can just sent her a single layer card hahahaha! She never just stops at the front.. her designs are totally well thought out and start at the front and go to the inside to the back of the cards.
For my card i used again the sweing machine to attach my cs to the base of the card (more sewing was done in the inside). I did use this weeks IsMaKi sketch for the layout, unfortunately i did not have a 100% matching piece of scalloped CS to use as card base. So, i hope this one is fine too
If you open the ribbon - you can open the front piece thats matted in Rose Red CS and there is an other decorated piece of paper - also vanilla CS matted and sewen with machine to the Rose Red CS. If you made this card for Mothers Day you could add a picture in this layer and on the last one you still have plenty of space to write.
This is the last layer. All flowers are colored on the stamp with green and rose Stampin up markers. More sewing also on this layer.
Did you know that Sweet'n Sassy has many fabulous stampsets with super cute sentiments? right now there is a sale going on were you can earn FREE stamps!
Flowers and Sentiment inside: Stampin up "Long Time Friend" and "In my thoughts"
