Missed

Today i have two cards posted. Here is a nice pocket card.

This card is for todays Cute Card Thursday challenge. Last week we had the callenge to create something masculine... today we "challenge" you to make a female card.

For my card i used all the yummy paper from Magnolia. These are the very new Daisy D Designer Paper series. These papers are double sides you are sure the patterns and colors match. The sewing machine was used to stich around each panel and i distressed the layers.
Everything is colored with Copics - even the sky, Stickles is used sparingly on the clouds and the girls wings.
Stamps: Magnolia new Summer 2008 collection stamps and Desinger Papers, Prima Flower
Sentiment: Retired SAB Stampin up "So Very"
Tools: Nestabilities and Cuttlebug for tag
I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for this card.

Happy Birthday - Copics

Yesterday was a happy day for me. My ghosh i got so much mail. My awesome Magnolia DT package with so many faboulous stamps, papers and embellishments arrived. I had to mount my stamps right away and start playing. The first pick for me was to make a card with cute lil Edwin :-) You can find him and the fence in the new "Shabby Chic" 2008 Summer Collection.

Since Nikki and Donalda asked me a couple of questions about Copics i thought i am going to use my markers on the card and take a few more extra pics for you to show how they work. On this card everything is colored with Copics, except the sky. I do have the airbrush system for the Copics (note you can use only the Airbrush with the Sketch) but i ran out of the Air can so I used instead Pebbles Shimmery Chalks. The clouds were stamped with cloudline from Art Impressions . I inked with bashful blue, stamped once of and than onto my image. All the edges are slightly distressed with Heidi Swapp's Paper Distresser. This tool rocks and it is very good in price. This card is made for the new Challenge Blog "Saturdays Workout".
Supplies used:
Magnolia Shabby Chic Summer 2008 Collection, Sentiment Stampin up (Free SAB Set cut apart from Lots of Thoughts), ArtImpressions for grass and cloudline
Embellishments: SU antique Hodgepodge, Prima Flowers (can be found also in Magnolia's Shop)CS/DP: Stampin up

Here are the colors i used for Edwin

Here is how Edwin looks once colored in. As soon i know where my images will be placed on the card I will add more highlights with the Copic blender pen.

Markers used for the fence

once the children are cut out an i know where i will place them, i will add with a deeper shade green shadows in the grass.

Here are the Copics i used for the dog

I had planned to add the dog but felt that it would have been too much. I know this picture is not very good cause it was getting dark inside. A litte more information how i colored: I used first E31 on the paws, nose and end of his ears, went than over the entire image with E34 added shades with E27 and blended again over the image with E31. If your paper is well saturated with ink from the back of the CS you will get the best results.

About the subscriber feature

I have a little note about the "subscriber" feature Iam offering on my blog. I talked the other day with two ladies about this and I noticed that some did not know what this is for. If you like a blog or site and it offers you the subscriber featuer (you can see it on my blog on the right hand side) you can simply enter your email adress and every morning you will get sort of a stamping - newspaper delivered to your email account. This way you will not miss anything what is going on on your favorite blogs and you do not waste time browsing arround if the blogs you liked actually posted something. This will save you lots of time. You can read all postings from your favorite blogs in one email. You do not need to worry about spam or more junk mail. I have many blogs in my list and have not noticed any spam through feedblitz.

Noch was anderes...

So Sweet Of You

My aunt from Germany sent my boys some money... and I totally forgot to sent her a "Thank you" card. Can you blieve it??? I make so many cards and forgot that? I thought since the money was for my sons, it would be nice if the card would have Edwin as main image. As you know, this stamp is one of my favorites :-) Yeah.. just until i saw the new stamps. There are soooo many cute boy stamps released - I want them ALL. They are going to be fabulous for cards and scrapbook pages. This card was made for Ila's blog candy. She provided a very inspiring sketch that made it easy for me to be creative. Stamps: Magnolia (Edwin), Sentiment Stampin up (the center punched out of "So many scallops")
DP/CS: Western Sky, Blue Bayou, Regal Rose (?)
Embellishments/Tools: Making Memories: felt flower, buttons, everything else Stampin up: Silver Hodgepodge, Circle punch, piercing tool

Happy Guava

For SCS Color Challenge to use: Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom and Basic Grey. These colors do not REALLY give you much freedom to color the Magnolias :-) So i picked one of the girls that wear a dress. She is one of the smaller Magnolias that worked good for the sketch cause i wanted to have the panels of the DP show.
Supplies:
Magnolia (Tilda), Stampin up (Garden Whimsey for Sentiment)
CS and DP: Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom (as card base), Going Grey and Afternoon Tea

Fary tales do come true

Vielen Dank!

The today's SCS is great. The children were sweet let and let me finish already a card. I was guided by the beautiful new DP, which I had got along from my last shopping trip. The small princess is so sweet and the sentiment was ordered at Amuse especially for this stamp. The dress is completely colored with the Twinkeling. It was more a test.. iam not so happy with it.. the problem i had was that i could not add so nice shadows as when i color first with re-inkers and than just use sparingly the H2O's but it was worth a test drive:-)
Sorry I havent had a chance to upload my blog roll yesterday cause my little one had a accident and we were more than 4 hours in the emergency room and took x-rays etc. He is okay ... Today i should have time to comment on your creations and add your links on my blog. Thank you!

Stamps: Magnolia (Princess), Stampin up (waterlily), Sentiment by Amuse (Elzy shop)
DP/CS: Stampin up bashful blue, certainly celery, pretty in pin, Making Memories
Embellishments: Pearl stickers, Heidi Swapp rhinestones stickers, celery wide grossgrain su, stickles on the waterlilys and wings

Ismaki No 15

For the today's Ismaki Challenge I made this card. The given sketch was again very difficult for me… the idea with the window of Kianel I found completely classy… I just turned the Sketch. Otherwise I accommodated all the requested elements for the card.

I would like to renew a offer i made quite a while back. If you have my blog in your blog roll and i have missed it on mine, just leave me a message on this post and i will do the same with your blog. Thank you for linking Pretty Pressings.

You make my heart sing

Today i would like to show you one of my cards that have been published in the spring 2008 "Scrap Art Zine" issue. Not much stampin on this card but I belive thats what they were looking for. The theme was "Vintage". I used the Stampin up piercing tool to evenly mark the spots were the holes would have to go and used than the Crop-A-Dile to punch. Stampin up's white Taffetta ribbon was thread frist from right to left and than from left to right back and tied to a knot. The inside of my card is also decorated with more birds and a little tag "You make my heart sing" from Crafty Secrets "Bird Notes". (yes.. on the pic thats me :-) holding Lucas)

Simple Black and White

This weeks challenge over on the Arty Girlz Challenge blog is to make a card in "Black & White". Compared to time i usually need to make my other cards, was this one quite fast finished. :-) But sometimes you need cards like this, plus this gave me extra time to work on a bigger project.

Stamps: Stempendous "Asparagus" and Stampin up "Happy Harmony" for
sentiment (retiered Sell-A-Bration set 2007)
CS: Stampin up: Black, silver and white
Ink: Brilliance black and Stampin up "Going Grey"
Others: Nestabilities, silver brads, ticket corner punch
Today i would also love to mention 4 blogs i really love to visit often. The reason why i think these blogs are faboulus is, because these crafters are very often my first choice if i need some ideas on coloring or just for the European way for layouts.
So, if you are open for a different style than the US style, i highly reccomend these blogs:

Daily Notes

I skiped last weeks Ismaki Challenge cause I just had no ideas.. this weeks was again a real challenge for me :-) no way I was skipping the sketch. So I really sat down and moved my elements on the card. The second flower on the upper right corner was replaced using a swirl i got from Donalda. I used on purpose one of the older style Magnolia's just because i thought they should not be forgotten. I omitted on her hat the little "ball" so it would not look more springy rather than a winter hat.
Stamps: Magnolia Tilda in wind (Fall Collection 2007) and tag
Sentiment: Stampin up "Office Attrouncement"
CS/Designer Paper: Creamy Caramel, Apricot Appeal, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral,
Tools: Stampin up stiching template, Martha Stewart lace punch
Embellishments: Magnolia "Prima Flowers", Pearl stickers, brown button
